A Poem by Andromeda
"

...a happy poem

"

Pink is the color of

Momma’s roses,

And baby blue

Is the shade she

Paints her hugs,

And

I’m

On my way back home again,

After ten years away

And

Three hundred sixty-five thousand

Prayers

I’m driving back there

In the car she gave me

At my graduation

To the house

Wear I grew up—

The house with

The pink roses

With the pink roses

That wink as

I park the car and

She comes running out

With tears in her eyes

And a hug waiting

Just for me.
