Devil's Kiss

Devil's Kiss

A Poem by Andromeda
"

temptation

"

Devil’s kiss—

The promise I won’t miss.

From your mouth,

The question is

Yes, this—

This is me

Slamming the door

Slamming the door

And hearing it roar

After me,

Even when the echoes

Of my footfalls have

Melted in the sun.

Devil’s kiss, my dear—

Your promise I won’t miss.

I love, love, love the title. I have no idea why, but I do. I like that it's about temptation too.

Love the flow and the timing in this. The part that made me smile (from a writers perspective) "Slamming the door, And hearing it roar" Awesome two lines! For me, it's the part that holds the piece together.
