Blackness's Fears

Blackness's Fears

A Poem by Andromeda
"

character sketch on Rok #2

"

His hair was black

As a heart attack,

As the

Shadow that haunts

Beneath the stairs—

Black as

Blackness’s fears.

As his eyes were gray

As pistol shot,

But in the shadows he could not

Hide.

In the shadows he could not

Hide.

The deepest throes of night

Concealed

No pride.

Future’s fate

Tied in a knot

Around his own.

He would not care

But prison

Is in his bones

And the hopes

He dare not hold.

He dreams as

Black as

Blackness’s fears.
