Linde's Lore

Linde's Lore

A Poem by Andromeda
"

another sketch for my book

"

Prison,

She had said,

Is the

Curse that haunts mankind:

The bars

That

Shadow

Over the mind;

The concrete floor

That drives you poor

The ticking clock

That winds you blind.

Hide inside and

Cry no more—

Turn your eyes

Red and sore.

Prison,

She had said,

Is the

Secret to the lore.

And it is

Prison

Where he finds himself—

Where he’d lost himself before,

Where he swore to stay

Chained up

No more.
