Tears

Tears

A Poem by Andromeda
"

i was in a retrospective mood i suppose?

"

Wish I could

 Be there for you

With an umbrella

When it rains

And the drops

Fall like

Icy pains

Into your veins.

I look out

The window

And I see you

Standing there

Holding your

Eyes up to Heaven,

Your face

Turned in

An offering—

In an eternal

Question and

Wish I could

Be there for you

To wipe away the

Tears that

Blend

With the

Rain:

The tears that

Slide like

Whispers of

What

You wish

Had been.

I cry for

You

When

I see you there,

But

You

Never know

That all I

Do is

Wish I could

Be there for you

To hold you

Close and

Hold you in

My arms

On the concrete

As the rain

Comes

Pouring down.

I like the small lines. It reminds me of a slant of rain. The imagery is great.
