Your Dream

Your Dream

A Poem by Andromeda
"

"

As you lie there fast asleep;

I know that secret

Locked inside you

That you keep;

I know why it is

That in the middle of the night

You weep—

Weep

Even in your dreams

As you sleep.

I know

In your dreams,

As I stand here, brushing your hair back

And pulling the covers up again.

I know, as you roll over and

Knock the covers off again.

I know

In your dreams,

She is me,

With a golden band

Alighting her hand.

As you lie there fast asleep;

I wish I could

Erase that secret

Locked inside you

That you keep;

I wish I’d stop how

In the middle of the night

You weep—

Weep

Even in your dreams

Of her

As you sleep.

Oh snap. That sucks for him.
I love the rhyme in this. It reminds me of a children's song with the rhythm for some reason, which works somehow.
