More than Okay

More than Okay

A Poem by Andromeda
"

song attempt?

"

Lately, I’ve been thinking about where I need to be—

About your eyes: what I need to see,

And your here: what holds the key—

Oh, set me free!

Please set me free.

Lately, I’ve been thinking about your kiss,

Which I promised myself I wouldn’t miss,

And the way we talked about maybe this being bliss—

Let me forget this!

Why can’t I forget this?

I’ve been thinking

Maybe.

If this is goodbye

And not just a lie

Maybe

You’ll come back someday

And it will all be

Maybe

More than okay.

Lately, I’ve been wondering why I

Slammed the door on my way out,

Kept on running when I heard you shout,

Hated myself when I began to doubt.

Lately, I’ve been wondering if

You’d take me back,

Become all that I lack,

Drive home in your Cadillac.

I’ve been wondering

Maybe

If this is goodbye

And not just a lie

Maybe

You’ll come back someday

And it will all be

Maybe

More than okay.

Baby, can we be

More than

Okay?

Maybe

More than okay.

I like it. Parts of it sound like a song (I totally had music in my head at one point). I like the "maybe"s and the title of this.
