Reflection

Reflection

A Poem by Andromeda
"

brought on by Josh Groban's "Let Me Fall"

"

Perhaps it is just this

Melancholy music

But

I find myself—

As I’ve found myself

So many times before—

            Reflecting

            On the thoughts that

            I thought I had lost

            To the wind

            I thought had

                        Blown them

                                                            Away.

Perhaps it is the

Beautiful voices

Dancing from my stereo

But

I feel I am

Reaching             Through a portal

Into the past

I’d tried so hard to

                                                            Shove away—

Shove away—why?

Shove away—why?

Why, for pain is

Just

Another beautiful piece,

Another poem

Brought forth in a tide of

            Words with no apparent source,

Words that the wind has brought to me.

And why

Should it

Hurt

So

Much

To

Remember?

Perhaps it is just the melancholy music?

I wish it to be just the melancholy music.

"I feel I am
Reaching Through a portal"

is the formatting of the above right, or should "through a portal" be on the next line?

heartbreaking execution.

I like this! Especially the last line, "I wish it to be just the melancholy music". You know it's not the music, but you try to convince yourself it is. I've totally done that.
