From the WhiteA Poem by Andromedaanother silly poemDying voices calling out From the white— A million dying voices: Howling— Moaning— Crying— And yet, a Snicker Shatters it all, Shatters the dying, Shatters the voices, Makes a mockery Of these cries That stretch onward, Onward, Demonically onward With silly little white lies. Out of place, These tears they cry— These cries they lie— Out of place against this Blue, blue sky— Blue as crème pie— And these white walls And child-filled halls. Out of place, These cries that creep through the floors and thin cardboard school walls. Out of place and Inter Rupting The lesson next door With their Howling And their Wailing And their False-pleading calls. The teacher grumbles, and the children laugh, Stopping their learning and putting their pencils down on their desks, From which they roll and clatter on the floor That has now become Something synonymous with a plastic war zone. A grumble and a laugh and Another werewolf wail— Dying voices— A million dying voices calling out From the white: The movie next door turned up Far too loud Again.
