A Poem by Andromeda
"

...

"

Pick apart my heart now—

Take it all apart now:

Don’t need the directions

To find out how,

How,

How.

Snap my heart in two—

I saved that privilege just for you.

Hope upon the lucky piece—

Treat it like a Wish Bone,

My heart that you turn to stone:

My heart you turn to stone—

Stone,

Leave me all alone.

Take it all apart now—

Don’t read the directions to

Find out how;

Never found out how—

How—

How—

This moved so fast.

I meant it to last.

Maybe it was broken—

Broken from the very start.

Broken till the end.

Broken for rich or poor:

Broken, slam the door.

My heart turn to stone—

My heart turn to stone,

Leave me all alone.

Take me all apart.

Take me all apart.

Don’t read the directions to

Find out how.

Find out how.

How!

How!

Find out how!
