Why is life so

Bitter

Sweet?

Why is this sorrow so complete?

Why is joy so ill timed?

One of us smiled while the other died.

Joy is blinding

While Sorrow lies.

One day the waves are under our feet,

Whilst the next they are so high that our heart

Barely has the strength to beat.

Oh why is life

So BitterSweet?

You took your last breath while the sun beamed overhead;

I took my first breath when all the stars were dead.

All the memories you had planned to make are gone;

They were your first and finest plans, and the time for them will never dawn.

The smiles I had are buried in your grave—

All this love and admiration I

Never gave.

This guilt will never leave me.

Oh God, why is life so Bittersweet?
