The Storm's Eye

The Storm's Eye

A Poem by Smarmadon21

I rested my feet in the warm summer sands

In the eye in the eye while the storm passed me by

By bubbling spring waters where fireflies still played

In the eye in the eye while the storm passed me by

With a halo of stars pushing darkness aside

In the eye in the eye while the storm passed me by

A warm wind my blanket I settled to stay

In the eye in the eye while the storm passed me by

The moon smiles down with a grin just for me

In the eye in the eye while the storm passed me by

At last I can sleep in the calm and the peace

In the eye in the eye the storm has passed by

Such beautiful word play in this poem! I love the vivid picture you painted with the words. A lovely poem!

Hi. This is a good poem for my taste. I often look for indirect poems rather than a dialogue between the writer and his object. It makes me thank and I enjoyed reading it.
