The Underworld, Darling

The Underworld, Darling

A Poem by Andreea_is_real

From all that booze and cry and powder,
My memory turned quite low so I believe not to have an encounter
Of all your beautiful faces tonight.
So please, if I may, just allow me to take a rapid peek,
Solely so that I know to whom I leak
All my agony and sorrow.
Man, THIS I wish I could just borrow
For just a moment, to someone who loves me.
Thus, this is for you, my love.
I am begging you, do intimidate me, do make me your dog,
Take all of my existence away, as it is all wrong.
Destroy all my memory, do not dare to cherish my dark thought,
For when it's back you'll wish you would have sought
The hidden phantom behind the heavy curtain,
While I, by any means, must the theater maintain.
You despair and I don't care,
But please do carry on the stare.
Glare at me and bite my flesh!
By the tick of dawn I will still love you,
Could it maybe turn out true
That I am indeed that blue?
My lady must therefore only pay,
The humiliation ticket for the way.
Forgive me and allow my love and voice!
I only reached the epiphany too late;
This is why my heart is only filled with hate
I'd burn to turn this around, my choice.
The waterfall of love dug me underground,
To that special place where only fun ghosts can be found.
