A Story by Andrew

Looking in the mirror, staring into the grey. Lost in a nightmare that has become a reality. Trying to focus, trying to see past the monster that lurks in the corner of the room, it's almost defeated yet it still taunts me. Telling me lies, whispering secrets that will ultimately destroy my soul and drive me mad. Bloodshot eyes, knuckles bleeding and arms shaking. Tears swell up in my eyes and I push them back, fighting the emotions. The only thought in my mind is that everyone will find out, everyone will see my monster. The demon that eats me alive. The darkness in my mind. The evil that haunts me, all I want is to be at peace. I long to find that comfort in silence, away from the noise, away from the voices, away from anything! I just want to be at peace... Knuckles dripping blood, my hands heat from the warmth. Shifting my hands against the coarse glass beneath them. I close my eyes and the darkness overcome me.
No voices...
No secrets...
Silence...
Just. Silence...
