Chapter 8

Chapter 8

A Chapter by Sofia

I practiced alone for about 30 minutes. John offered to take me home when I came out of the practice rooms.
He had a nice, new ford truck. It was rather large and all black. It seated five, miraculously, so Jenna, Susan and I all sat in the back while John and Jake sat in the front.
Instead of heading straight home though, we all stopped at chick-fil-a and then headed to the mall. We spent the whole rest of the day hanging out and window shopping.
By the time I got home it was 11'o'clock. I headed quietky up to my room and climbed into bed, thinking over the events of the day. I fell asleep with tees thoughts in my mind.
I had the same dream as I'd had every night for the past year. The boy was running again, glancing over his shoulder every time a Hunter fired at him.
The tree that crushed him was a huge oak. His scream rang through my mind even as I dressed for school the next morning.
