Chapter 7

I stormed out of the building into the courtyard, trying to cool off. John, Jake, Jenna, and Susan were all out there, waiting for their parents or siblings.
"Sam?" Susan called. "Sam what's wrong!?" She asked, seeing anger and sadness on my face.
Jenna stood up from the bench she sat on with Jake and walked over to me, her red hair tied back in a ponytail. She placed an arm around my shoulders. "What's up, Sam?" She asked me.
Jake and John stood up. Both boys seemed on edge. "Leo?" Jake guessed.
"How did he know my full name..?" I growled, mostly to myself.
"That's what he does" John said. "Gets into your head, makes you think you guys are great friends. Invites you over one day and bam! You're never seen or heard from again" he explained.
"Oh don't worry. I won't be getting close to HIM anytime soon" I hissed.
"Sam?" I heard an all too familiar voice call.
"Crud!" I spat.
"I'll get rid of him" John grunted, standing up tall. He moved rather quickly towards the door of the courtyard and stood between Leo and me. "She doesn't want to see you. She knows what you do" he growled down to Leo,
The smaller student swallowed uneasily. "I...I just wanted to...uh...apologize" he stammered, clearly afraid of the bigger man.
John grunted. "Sure you do. Or you could be lying, and only want to hurt her further" he spat.
"No! No, honest I'm not!" Leo pushed. "I just want to apologize" he insisted.
"You can apologize tomorrow" John growled.
Leo sighed in defeat. "Fine" he answered, walking off down the hall. He glanced back at me before disappearing down the hall.
