Peak

Peak

A Poem by Jared
"

How fast you can rise;how far you can fall.

"
It took months of hard and exhausting labor.
Of lives lost and friendships forgotten.
But I'm there now.
I'm at the top of the cool, frozen mountain..
Looking down at the slope i climbed, laden with memories.
Bittersweet was the journey.
And now,i feel the harsh, cool, wind and just like that,i'm plummeting.
Farther and Farther.
Lower and Lower.
I feel my bones crunch, crack and break as i smash into the ground.
Disabled at the bottom.
When i've lost all hope,i bury myself in the snow.
But i begin to feel my bones healing, mending over time.
I stand.
And begin the climb again.

It has no emotional depth. You need to work on that. I've read better.
