Patchwerk

Patchwerk

A Poem by Jared

Stitched together
A mismatch of hundreds of shreds
Sown together sloppily
by inexperienced hands.

Ripping  at the seems.
Piece by Piece
It loses any recognizable traits.

The beauty used to be astounding
vibrant colors
soft like  velvet

But now
It is heavily distressed
tearing,ripping
all of it's former splendor lost
to the past.

I wonder now how much longer it has
how much longer it has
before it is gone
just a shadow
of what could have been.
Falling apart like patchwork.
