Chapter 7 AmandaA Chapter by MandaAs he grabbed my hand his own felt sweaty; having this power over someone like him was a new feeling to me. I took a deep breath. I was longing to feel that touch. His hand intertwined with mine. My hands weren’t as sweaty as his were; why was he so damn nervous? I looked up at him. He smiled down at me. Tonight his smile was fake. “Are you okay, Joe?” I asked him. His eyes scanned me then his smile disappeared. We were sitting
on our hill, where we came to have our dream picnics and where we came to just
talk. We talked about everything, and nothing. His glances, and those smiles,
they all gave me hope. I couldn’t explain why, they just did. I longed to be
with him, really with him; was I really with him though; possibly my
dreams where realer then my own reality. What if I would rather live in my
dream world them in my reality, alone forever? I wished so deeply that possibly
it would become a reality, him and me. That’s where we belonged. We did indeed
belong together; I just knew it. I was scared to admit it though. He was a
celebrity; I was a little nobody without a future. That night Joe
seemed upset. My eyes scanned his features as I waited for him to speak;
nothing though. He stared at me as if he didn’t want anything about this moment
to change. “Joe!” I spoke up again, “are you okay?” “Joey, how do you think I feel?” I asked him. “I was treated like crap my whole life and then you came to me. You were like the angel that saved me and sometimes I find it too much.” I told him, “I’m terrified… of us, of you, of love.” Joe then turned to me again, “By the way. I have such strong feelings for you, and I don’t even know your name.” Joe sighed, and then he scooted closer to me. “What is your name?” I smiled, “Joe. My names A-“ My eyes shot
open. I was in the hotel room Ingrit and I bought for the night. It was a cheap
motel with just two beds. My dog lay on my bed as Ingrit and her cat, tux, lay
on hers. They were fast asleep already. Ingrit sat up
and looked at me. “Ready to go?” she asked sleepily I followed her lead and ended up getting dressed. Soon we were on the road to cali again. We had stopped at a few tourist attractions already, nothing really grand. Inks though wanted to go a long way to Cali and take me to Disney World first, since we have never been before. We were only an hour away from Disney when Ingrit decided to talk me. Most of the ride was quiet till then. I was sitting in the passenger seat, mainly because she didn’t trust me driving her car. She also told me before the trip “I’ll drive whenever I’m not sleepy, I would rather keep my life then lose it with you behind the wheel.” Gee, thank you. I love you too. “Amanda.” She chimed in, perking up in her seat. “I got us a hotel room tonight, one of the cheaper ones near Disney.” She started to tell me. “Dharma is your service dog, but Tux of course will have to stay at the hotel. Will you leave her there for company for Tux or will you take her with us?” Let me clear something up, I have a service dog because I simply am a mental case. I have Manic Depressive and have vicious mood swings. So when I adopted my puppy, I decided to train her as my service dog so I can take her places and so she could help me if I have a panic, or anxiety attack. I looked back at Dharma who sat nicely in the back seat. She looked up at me and when she noticed my eyes on her, her tail started to wag. Tux glared at Dharma then looked to the floor of the car. My rabbits were also with us. I took them when I left home. Nava, my grey and white rabbit, was lose in the car, since she was litter box trained and was smart. Domino, my black and white rabbit, erm... not so much. She stayed in the rat cage with my all black rat Stitch and Ingrit’s grey rat Phantom. My rat was indeed a male, but he was fixed. Just saying. Anyways, Tux stared at Nava as she hopped round the floor then lay down. “I think she’ll stay with Tux. I don’t think she’d like the fire works too much.” I shrugged. Ingrit nodded, “Yeah. That’s true. Maybe they can keep each other out of trouble.” Ingrit rolled her eyes as she stared at Tux who was now eyeing the rats, through the dashboard mirror. Finally after another half an hour, the hotel was in reach. I climbed out and then Ingrit followed. We snuck in the rat cage fast and then put the bunnies lose in the bathroom with a litter box full of hay. I shut the door and looked up at Ingrit. “They are all set in there.” I told her. Ingrit placed my blue rat cage on the Tv stand, next to the television, and then she smiled at me. Ingrit picked up Tux, hugged him, and then put him on the bed that she chose to sleep in for tonight. She patted his head then kissed his forehead. “Be good and leave the rats alone!” I looked at Dharma, “That goes for you too!” I pointed a finger at her. Dharma’s tail wagged and then she jumped to my bed. I hugged her, kissed her nose, and then headed to the door. Dharma whined as she watched Ingrit and I leave. “Stay!” I said when Dharma started to stand up to follow; but once I commanded her she sat back down. We then left for Disney World. When we arrived I was shocked by it, it was so beautiful. Then Ingrit pointed to something blue moving about. It was Stotch from Lilo and Stitch! Obviously it was a guy in a custom, but then again… I didn’t give a flying fart. I ran to his side and hugged him, “Picture?” I asked; he nodded. So now I have pictures of Stitch to add to my “BEST DAY EVER” journal! Well, if I had one, that is. After the sun
started to go down Ingrit looked at her watch, “Damn.” She said, “We are going
to be late!” Finally we came to a huge crowd of people, eagerly waiting for something. “Ingrit, what is going on already!?” Then my eyes scanned the shirts of the children in line, Jonas Brothers. My eyes widened. “You did not!” I looked up at her. She nodded with a smile. “Good seats, right at the stage. Touching distance of your man.” I blushed when she said ‘your man’ “Also, they are VIP tickets.” She turned back to me, a huge smile on her face. “So no waiting in line for us!” “But, how did you know about this concert? I didn’t even know.” “A week or so before we left I decided to see if they were playing any where around where we originally wanted to travel, only places I found were hear, and in Texas. There were only two VIP passes left for here so I grabbed them when I could. They weren’t cheap, by the way.” I nodded, “I can only imagine.” I smirked, I owe you HUGE” “Nah, just think of it as an early 20th birthday, type of thing.” She shrugged, “Just don’t expect much from me on your actual birthday.” “Of course not, not ever again after this!” Ingrit smiled, “Now come on!” She pulled me to the front of the line. She then grabbed the tickets out and flashed them to the security guard, then handed one back to me. I placed it around my neck and headed with Ingrit to the stage. There was only the VIP, Team Jonas, and sound check fans around, so only about 20 kids. All were around 16 to 20; which I didn’t mind. I came up towards the front of the stage, waiting for them, waiting for him. Then the boys appeared. It was sound check time and just the site of Joe made my heart freeze. My mouth feel open and as the girls around me screamed his name and his brothers’ names, Inks went “WOO JONAS” she wasn’t even that big of a fan. But I just stood there, mouth open. The man from my dreams was there in front of me, standing only inches away. I doubt he could see me; I was too short behind everyone. It wasn’t till Ingrit pushed me forward his eyes locked onto mind. Those eyes were so beautiful and bright, but once he saw me the smile on his face disappeared. All I could think was, “S**t, he hates me and we haven’t even spoken two words to each other yet.” F**k my life, big time. © 2010 Manda |
