Chapter 3 Amanda

Chapter 3 Amanda

A Chapter by Manda

That smile was forever stuck in my head, the one he gave me in my dreams. The one I imagined he would only give the one he was deeply in love with. My dreams grew more realistic as the feelings I had for him did as well. This night was different though; most nights I wanted to sleep, I wanted to see him, to be with him, but not tonight. I thought it would be best if I didn’t sleep, didn’t dream of him and me together. It was getting harder and harder for me, for my emotions. I’d see him on TV and with that girl he called his best friend and I knew I had zero to no chance.

After about a few hours my eyes couldn’t stay open, soon I was fast asleep in my dream world. I was like Alice, Hollywood was like my wonderland and Joe, and Joe was my mad hater and the white rabbit wrapped up into one.

This dream was like most, it was romantic and corny. It was like how I dreamt my first relationship would be. I have had males in the past, but none were any bit of amazing as Joe was. I wasn’t quit sure if he was just amazing in my dreams or he was actually this charming, but I figured he’d had to be. He was a Jonas after all.

This dream started off with Joe and I watching the stars just after the sun set. We were in the Californian mountains of some sorts. We sat on the hill, a city down below us, stars gleaming above us. The sky was pitch black and all we heard were the sounds of crickets singing their lullabies. I closed my eyes as I listened to them. Joe, who was sitting next to me, noticed my reaction to the sound of the crickets. I could hear him silently scooting closer to me through the grass. Soon I could feel his leg leaning against my arm. My eyes shot open fast at his touch. “What are you doing?” I asked with a smile.

“Thinking.” He said simply as he stared off at the stars.

“Well,” I smirked, “Of course you’re thinking, but why have you scooted closer to me?”

Joe seemed alarmed, “What?” He looked down at me, those brown eyes cutting me so deeply, “You don’t want me to sit closer?” He asked. His face lay emotionless as I stared up at him.

“Never said that, Joe.” I stated fast, “I was just wondering why you scooted closer.” I looked back at the stars; he did as well. The crickets chirped once more, making me close my eyes again to listen to them closely. Joe cleared his throat; I opened one eye to look at him real fast. He was still staring at the stars. So I closed my eye again.

“Who sounds better?” Joe spoke up. I looked up at him now with both my eyes wide open. “Me or those crickets?”

I smiled at him as I thought about his question, why would he even ask me this? Choosing him or nature? He knew I loved nature and found it flawless. I stared at him, expecting more from him. He didn’t say anything else he just stared at me. “Joey?” I asked. He just kept those brown eyes on me though. “I think honestly, you’re both pretty equal.” I told him. “You both are beautiful in your voice, both can sooth me and both make me and a million girls feel something.” I told him, “Only real difference is that you’re my Joey.” I stared up at him as his blank expression stared down at me those brown eyes blinked as if he was thinking about what to say next.

“So, your saying my voice equals to a song a bug makes with its butt?” He then smirked at me.

I rolled my eyes and laughed, “They don’t use their butts. They use their wings. You dingdong!” I laughed, as he looked shocked at my response.

“Dingdong?” He asked me as he wrapped his arms around my stomach and pulled me towards his chest. “Well, if you are so smart. Why do they make that sound?”

“It’s like a mating thing. The males serenade the females with their wings of beauty, I guess.” I told him truthfully, “Sort of how you sing to those fans that stand right at the stage.” I glared up at him as a smirk crossed his lips.

My glaring eyes soon turned soft and caring as he looked down at me. It was weird; I could actually feel his warmth. I knew this couldn’t be real, I knew this had to be a dream. I tried not to think about how this was all just a dream though and the fact that I was going to wake up soon.

”I feel like Alice.” I spoke up.

”How so?” Joe looked down at me as I cuddled closer to his chest. I watched him for a few minutes then smiled. I studied his face as he stared at me. Soon a smile appeared on his lips as well.

“Well, It’s like I fell down a rabbit hole.” I looked away from Joe and back a the sky, “But instead of falling exactly into a rabbit hole, I fell into your arms.”

Joe stared at me, thinking about what to say, “Okay,” He shrugged, “Then you can be my Alice.” He said as he pressed his face against my cheek. I could feel the warmth again. Something in the pit of my stomach told me that this is how it was meant to be. This is my missing piece. This is where I belonged, with him.

That night I woke up way too earlier then I wanted to. I looked to my side to see an empty bed. My hand ran across the empty spot as if I had expected him to really be there. The spot was cold though. My eyes closed as I started to cry, why did God have to do this to me?

That was really nice. I loved the "he was a Jonas after all" part, haha. And this part really made me laugh:

I really love the creative way you insult him, the funny conversation you and him have in your stories. They really are so realistic, creative, and wicked entertaining, haha.

This bit was wicked sweet, and I loved it:

I loved it and can't wait for you to write more. I'm off to read the next chapter now. I seriously love this story. :)
