Waking Terrrors

Waking Terrrors

A Poem by LiliansGift

Fear is crippling
It keeps you up at night
Every sound, every prickle
Leaves you frozen deep in fright

The creaks turn to footsteps
And the dark turns to visions
The sheets turn to snakes
And you freeze in all positions

Movement can be fatal
So blinking is all you have
A baby laughs in their cradle
And the demons get a snack

Time passes
Your limbs move
The visions leave
Paranoia gets removed

There was nothing there to scare you

About
Ola people. My designation is Shelby Lynn. Enjoy my s**t. Or don't. I write sometimes-not-awful poetry, and think of stories that'll never see the light of day if my brain has a say about it. So yeah... more..
