Fighting For Breath

Fighting For Breath

A Poem by LiliansGift

I hate this feeling in my chest
Like I’m fighting hard for a breath
That just won’t come

And I know what you see
I’m stronger than I think
But d****t, I’m fighting for air

My head is a mess
No oxygen beneath my breast
And it’s a daily fight, just to stay alive

So go on, tell me to stop
Let me go, out of this Hell
So you’ll come out on top

But baby I need you
The air I can’t find
Please let me breathe

I want to stay alive

Hummm.... Sounds more like lyric than poetry. Do you sing much?... either way good way to start I'd throw in some more meter and a dash of rhyme to pull this desert together. :)
