Angels Grace

Sworn at the edge of a flaming sword
Following in the path of the flower
Gracefullness condensed by the light shown through the heavens
Blessed before death to soar
Giving His word to prophesies the teachings of the Lord
Led by one

Watching over others
Giving hope to others who seek the Lord
Being the shield of anyone who seeks tranquillity
Knowing the blissfulness of life is given from devotion

Their life is an essence of a dance outside the comatose of our life
Seeking to preserve this essence in religion
Allowing those who devote their life to the Lord.
Giving life after death
Loyalty to any who seek grace
Friend, perserver of our Lady Mary's Rosery

Having compassion

i am saved by grace Christian in faith ..so enjoy that instant connection to your referencing it .. i love thinking on the angels .. when i am blessed to think about it i make it a point to invite them to linger in the skies surrounding my home ... it adds a certain dimension to my life ... excitement and assurance .. and a dose of humility to boot .. why would the angels feel comfortable around me ;} so your title grabs me and reminds me of all those things .. "Following in the path of the flower" ... love that line!! wish i had thought of it :) i wasn't much good in a lot of classes i took .... but editing is a tool that can clarify our intent ... i really enjoy being given the perspective of Angels in this one .. and the deep truths you point to and hint at .. and i admire the unapologetic devotion to Mary ...

This is absolutely stunning and well said.

The second stanza is my favourite, couldn't have said any of it better myself. Those four lines really pack a punch and relate to many people. I actually just read two short stories that your poem reminded me of in some ways, certain things were said in the story that reminded me. Your poem should be in that book to go hand-in-hand with those.

You are über talented, this was a fab read - I loved it.

'After The Dance' by Iain Crichton Smith. He is a Scottish author and this book is a range of his short stories, some war based and others are different genres. If you fancy a read, I would definitely recommend it. If you do read it, let me know what you think!

Me too, I've read quite a bit of war poetry before and it's always so striking, really gets your emotions going!

I like reading about the psychology of veteran in combat and what goes through their minds when they are in combat. Poetry puts a unique touch on it by playing with words and had more symbolism tot he meaning of the words. It is definitely emotional when reading it especially when it is written in an autobiography or in a poem by the man who went through the chaos of war.

Psychology is a fab subject, very interesting - a subject that I am hoping to get a degree in. Poetry does put a unique touch to it, can be very emotional indeed. The meaning of words can honestly cut like a knife and they can melt your heart.

Hahahaha that's hilarious! I would have had the same expression! I Always judge people, it is part of my job to make decisions on people based on a judgement call. I honestly don't believe there is anything wrong with judging someone. Judgements can always change, actions usually can't.
You said you have had someone talk to you? Do you help out with therapy or something?

Yes I agree, although if you're going to judge moi, try to be nice, hahah! Joking, obviously... Or am I? ;-) I do agree with judging someone, I do it sometimes and 9/10 I am right about them and what I judge them on.

Yes I have people talk to me all the time and confide in me, even on here. I do not help out yet, I am looking for some part time jobs in that area but with only a year of psychology it's quite hard but people confide in me and trust me quite a lot. I've also had some people on here tell me that they will be my 'fake client' if I need, haha. I do love helping people though. What about you?

Hahahahha. I'm usually on the money as well when it comes to judging people. I can tell what someone is like just by looking at how he/she walks, how he/she dresses, and how he/she talks. Some people take that offensively but I'm usually never wrong in my assumption so I don't care what they think of my judgement. I do try to be nice about it and act like I think nothing of them, but usually I'll make a joke about something and then they'll take offense to that. Haha.
This is pretty cool that you have a year of psychology down pat, and you are able to get people to confide in you and talk to you about their feelings. You must be really good at it.
I have done no classes in psychology therapy or anything studying someones emotions. I've done four years of health classes back in highschool and a semester as an intern at a hospital going to different departments and watching and learning everything that is done there.
I like helping people but I'm not big on it. I like to study them and see what makes them tick, so to speak. Plus I need a fast pace job not a job where I'm helping the elderly or special ed kids.

That's fab, that's like me for sure. I try to hide it but to be fair, I'm not good at that part - I always end up giving it away but making a joke (like you) or a comment or just my features will give it away, whoopsie!

I love it, it's so interesting and honestly keeps me awake unlike some of my other studies, hahaha. Not that I would ever admit that to my teachers. Health class would come in handy and your work experience will go a long way.

Nah, that's not what I want to do, I want to be a psychologist just haven't figured out which area yet. I have another year before I apply for university so I got a little time.

You just have to hide your body language till you have talked to the patient for a while before you let your shield fall so that you can get a better baseline (understanding) of the patient. That's when you become more open and relaxed because you'll know a little more about him to make a judgement call that won't insult him. Takes a couple times to be good at it but it pays off in the long run. You are a smart gal so you have nothing to worry about to figure out how to become a great psychologist.
Hahaha I understand. I'm the same way I wouldn't tell my teachers either haha.
You have plenty of time to choose what college you want to go to. How many areas of psychology are there?

I can do that if people come to confide in me but out of that, where I am me and not someone who is offering advice (if you get me) then I can't hide it. For example, this girl I know, she bosses me around and takes my food (lame, I know) but on Thursday I ended up telling her to leave my food alone and grow up, I was, after all, older than her... And she freaked at me. Made me laugh but honestly, I'm the moment, I couldn't hide it!

There are 13 major areas and probably tons of smaller ones. I'm interested in Cognitive Psychology, Abnormal Psychology and Behavioural Psychology.

Hahah you should tell her that if she wants some of your food then she should do something for you. Hahah have her buy you a meal or something sometime. If she is going to blow up on you because you are defending your food then she has a problem and give her a brochure on food disorders and abuse dieting hahaha. That will make her stop touching your food.
