Chasing

Chasing

Something about a dream...

Chasing
By Sloan Chambers
I keep on chasing this dream that seems to be just out of reach
I try to grab it; try to hold onto it
Falling in the meantime
Failing at everything I do
You tend not to follow me, because you could never keep up
If you try to keep up, you will not, no one can match my pace
I skip steps on the stairs of explanation
I miss notes in the song of life
I tend to get splinters of lust and desire
A tone deaf friend of disaster
But I like who I am
If you don't that's because
You are too busy chasing me while you need to focus on yourself
Its none of your business
So stop chasing my dreams if you plan to crush them
Go make them for yourself
And chase those.

This poem displays how I feel, but it's off the top of my head, so it must not be that good.

Yes your words are true. Allow the people with dreams to go forward and find your own path. Some common sense wisdom in your words. Some folks like to hang on to the dreamers because they can find their own road of life to be on. A outstanding poem.

I love music, art, and writing. There is nothing else like 'em. I grew up with really strict parents, who are all math and science. So, naturally, I'm gifted in them, but that doesn't mean I like t.. more..
