Bloody Sunshine

Bloody Sunshine

A Poem by Slithering Angel
"

Old work, from a slightly happier time.

"

/Bloody Sunshine/

Midnight caressing the shadow's cheek, cupping its face to let it feel
Darkness moving through it, feeding off of its fear
The shadow shaking, quaking
The moon smiling in simple indulgence

Rays of gold that flash red in the sky, burning away the singing black
Crimson lancing through it, scorching its heart
The shadow shaking, quaking
The moon blatantly glaring in contempt

The wind howls around a figure, bent and retching on the ground
Bright eyes of red fall upon it, forgiving and understanding
The shadow shaking, quaking
The bloody sun embracing in pure love

The clouds gather thunder and power, moisture roiling and tumbling
Frigid shards of liquid fall upon them, washing away the pain and darkness
The shadows shaking, quaking
The sun smiling and the figure laughing in simple bliss
