Fell

Fell

A Poem by Slithering Angel

/Fell/

I fell, that's not where it started

I saw you, it hurt in a new way

Something inside constricted, felt like a crushing pain

My skin began to heat, my eyes couldn't look at you

I stumbled inside, unable to identify

Something new, I had never felt

You spoke, my ears bled, I felt it as it ran out

The sweetest voice, the voice of lies, pain

Overcome by heat, by new emotions, I couldn't hear the truth

I let you drag me along, always bending, always giving ground

I let you take and take, I compromised everything I was

I never saw the precipice, don't know when it happened

The cold came back and I had no footing, I was gone

I fell into your darkness, hidden so well, covered by innocent smiles, light kisses

I never believed, never doubted, I trusted in your destruction of myself

I fell in the heat, the comfort and love

I fell and died

No longer able to breath, can't live without you

All I am, all I want, your pain

I fell in revenge, angry haze

Every tear you cry, every sob you let go, every scream of pain that I know comes from me

Sweet, delicious, my only balm, your pain

You fell, you trusted what you had made, you believed in your lies and smiles

The smiles are gone, ripped away, but the lies remain

Our lies mingle, become one, a great monster

It devours us, our lives, our hearts

We can't see the end, coming so fast, and yet we both know

We'll fall, into ice and darkness, fire to consume our hate and hurt

And yet we'll never know, we'll never remember

When we fell

I think it moves like a movie... A black an white one, but with firm edges, and deep color. Good piece.
