Mermaids

Mermaids

A Poem by A.R. Rose

She wanders the deep ,
waiting for the flesh of man.
Singing, luring , drowning,
such beauty, such beauty,
but a dark lingering evil core.
Why does this evil creature have beauty?
Wandering , waiting ,watching,
she who claims the heart of a boy on deck
such sorrow such sorrow , left with nothing ,
nothing i say, nothing but bones.
She whoever , is a mermaid ,
some being kind and caring,
but only found in the deepest waters,
may the true beauty be,
And only man who have the strongest heart
shall meet this beauty.

A very good tale written about the mermaid. The myth of the mermaid can combine with the myth of the heartless siren. Those sirens were the scary and dangerous one's. No heart and thirsty for blood. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
