Tree by the sea

A Poem by SleeplessVolcano

I planted a tree
next to the sea
the green bits are you
the dead branches, me.

awwwwwww so sad my friend! well done .. simple, precise, emotive and certainly paints a picture .. i think the childlike quality of the rhyming is too cool for school ;)

Awww, well I hope the tree continues on even if it might be struggling a bit. I feel like this can be interpreted so many ways; it's very complex to be so short, and that's pretty hard to do. Thank you for sharing.

A brief yet multilayered poem with a touch of sadness. The words speak to me of selflessness. As if one died to nourish the other. The chosen artwork is also beautiful.

There are Bristlecone pines very near the sea, seemingly dead, that have lived for over five thousand years. Just because a thing seems a certain way does not make it so. Where there is life, there is hope. I enjoyed the read. F.

The image is beautiful, the brevity meaningful. So very nicely penned.
