Message in a bottle

Message in a bottle

A Poem by SleeplessVolcano

I want to hear your voice again tonight

To make that call will not help me at all

I’ll write a letter but I’m still contrite

One day I hope this grief won’t be a wall.

You told me once to never give up hope

But in this hole I’m sinking into mud

Your words were angels helping me to cope

But now my memories are stained with blood.

I hear the waves below the mountainside

I see your tears are frozen in the sand

I feel this is the place you came to hide

I wish that I was there to hold your hand.

I’m angry that the sea took you away

Could bottles full of letters make you stay?

A bottle with a letter. The lover last wish. I liked the flow of thoughts and the hope in the ending. Thank you dear friend for sharing the amazing poetry. I did enjoy.

Thanks for reviewing. We need to find ways to immortalize our words, sometimes.
