Day Dream 2040

Day Dream 2040

A Poem by SleeplessVolcano

I woke up in my mother's basement

had a Moses beard

empty beer cans huddled

like Stonehenge

around a moldy pizza.

The doorbell rang

I slouched up the rickety stairs

A redhead named Donald

handed me the vegetarian -

no money for meat.

CNN blared from the kitchen

We landed on Mars

and Musk  again declined

to move into the White House

Just before dying

Caitlyn became Bruce again

The world keeps moving

But I’m stuck

Mining crypto

For the Chinese

In my mother’s basement.
