UnhingedA Poem by SleeplessVolcano
Unhinged
I feel But as I look closer To the door of my soul I see no hinges Time has and is Flowing in and out of my soul In slow-motion My thoughts get going Like a cold diesel engine On a winter’s morning I look outside Through the windows of my prison The sun is shining Skies look blue But in my heart it’s raining My mug of hot coffee Tastes cold I hear voices call my name But it’s only a YouTube video I take a shower But my soul still feels sticky A random thought Makes me smile And I wonder why I want to run down the road And hug a stranger. © 2020 SleeplessVolcano |
