Flowering light

Flowering light

A Poem by SleeplessVolcano

The light edges closer
through violet yellows -
Wanting, but waiting,
whispering to darkness to flee.
A delicious bite in the air
Promises light, promises love,
and then -
The wait is over:
Light floods the flowers of our love;
Luminous orange explodes,
We glow, this moment of joy,
of sunbeam-tinted buzz.
We hold on, savoring each drop
of honey-dew magic -
Drunk, on the light of love.

The picture goes pretty well with the poem. I really like the connection you've drawn between the flowers and the light, throughout the poem. It's a very vivid and pretty image that you paint in my mind!
