The sun whispered to me this morningA Poem by SleeplessVolcano
The sun whispered to me this morning
its stealth-like mumbling pierced through a few renegade clouds At first I did not recognize its voice it sounded too cool - like the wind But then those energetic words flickered where they lay in my ice-cold heart like semi-dead coals, reawakening The heat unlocked old memories reminded me of happier moments of nostalgia I forgot was my own A little smolder looked like a face I tried to forget but when I saw that blue-eyed smile I felt it warm my hungry skin A floodlight of brilliant rays made me long for that sunshine embrace I just had enough strength to pull down the black-out blind to forget that the sun whispered to me this morning. © 2018 SleeplessVolcanoAuthor's Note
