Where's my remedy?
This dark inadequacy
nibbles inside me.

Perfextly captured, the moments of emptiness and ache within, making us feel hollow and as you so eloquently said, inadequate and ever so slightly broken. These are dangerous waters to find ourself in, and the mind knows it, yet no matter where we look, calm is nowhere to be found.
Once again, impressively expressive in so few words.

the rhyming makes it interesting ..on first reading i knew it was there ...but not really ... my older daughter sent me a meditation for the day this morning ... that being when we feel fulfilled it releases energy ... fulfillment lending us a sense of purpose ... when we have deep discontent i.e. in a relationship that is not what we intended ... it robs us of energy .. (fulfillment) and we get depressed and stressed .. this senryu speaks to that i think ... that deep inadequacy ... fears of failure ... real bugaboos eh!? i like the "nibbles" ... it speaks to a slow insipid breaking down .. or peeling away of the light that i think we are all born with ... so many levels to interpret in this very human dilemma and wisdom .. going into self-reflective mode now ;)

yes ;) multi-noodled soup :))))))))))))
A slight deviation from the senryu form, since rhyming is not required, though I thought I'd give it a try...:)
