Fiction for me is much harder than poetry, but I'm beginning to see how poetry writing can help us to put together that illusive fictional puzzle :)

So much said here. How can you possibly get your message across if you don't take the trouble to explain it. Her one liner could have left you confused and possibly hurt. A bit like ordering a full English breakfast and only getting eggs and mushrooms. You wouldn't be happy.
I love this message. I came here becuz I just finished reading Mrudula Rani's duel-poem inspired by your poem here. I love all poems on this topic, but especially yours becuz you get to the point so quickly & fiercely & somewhat flippantly. The attitude in this remark is what makes it sting. I really hate how one-liners are the preferred communication style these days. (I've been criticized for going on & on too much. I'm not cut out for texting I guess!) Interesting to watch the ripples your poem made (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

They looked confused. "Or,", I continued, "would you like me to give you the pros and cons of not crossing the road when you're not watching out for cars?" Brevity has its place at times, but so does a good explanation. I guess the trick is to find a healthy balance in the middle...:)

I must be getting old becuz I'm turning into a windbag! *smile*
So true, but they do anyway. Nothing like thinking that what someone thinks is true, must be true, despite no evidence whatsoever to confirm it. People just jump to their own conclusions, mistaking what isnt said as somethinh to be assumed. ...Said the guy who doesnt talk much, but has a load of opinions about what everyone does wrong. Honestly, I just cant figure out why everyone doesnt realise how awesome I am. :)
Well said. Especially the bits between the lines :)
