My world of words

My world of words

A Poem by SleeplessVolcano

Come linger a bit
in the library of my heart
Indulge
in a few first editions
of my undying affection.
Sink comfortably
into the leather seat of my soul
Who knows -
I may just put my arms around you
while you fall asleep
in my world of words.

How could you not accept an invitation like that? Your world of words very tempting, your posted image so comfortable and I can imagine curling up in one of those armchairs, by the fire on a cold evening. Lovely poetry SleeplessVolcano.

There is something so peaceful about your world of words. It is like a warm house that carries one from a frigid winter place. Thank you for extending your invitation to us to find rest in the peace of you.

You’ve painted a word picture of all the things I love about a comfortable life. I love words, of course, but I also get the suggestion of one person reading aloud to another in a comfy spot (encouraged by your chosen artwork). The sound of someone’s voice is just as entrancing as the words themselves. Well-crafted extended metaphor that equals the extended metaphor master, Jacob! *wink! wink!* Fondly, Margie
