Put your feet up, darling

Put your feet up, darling

A Poem by SleeplessVolcano

Put your feet up, darling
I made you a cup of steaming coffee
In your favourite mug
Come take a few sips of peace
And tell me about the clouds
Playing hide and seek around your head.

Put your feet up darling
Don't worry about dinner
I've warmed some leftovers
And the kids' homework's nearly done
I'll watch with you your favourite
Drama - while we smile about our own,
But don't worry one more minute
About today or tomorrow
Right now, let my presence blow away
Your nibbling worries
Tonight I'll cuddle your frowns away
And tomorrow morning I will once again
Fall in love with your simmering smile.

A wonderful poem shared dear friend. You create a perfect place. Coffee, leftovers and good company. And a simmering smile. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.
