It is finishedA Poem by SleeplessVolcanoThe last words, nearly not spoken, but breathed out But it was more than what it may have sounded like It went back, right to the start, and remembered Before In the beginning Took place When everything was still perfect When the light of heaven and love Brightly penetrated everything, and everyone Until, darkness entered Garments of eternity Were traded, incredulously For rags of sin and shame And that dark nature grew Killing, stealing, and destroying And no remedy was found To make the way back home Until a willing lamb Despised and rejected Took the shame and guilt of all Never will light and love be diminished When it was said, “It is finished”. © 2018 SleeplessVolcanoAuthor's Note
