We'll meet at our cafe

We'll meet at our cafe

A Poem by SleeplessVolcano

Yeah, it was a rough week
I know your tank is empty
My nerves are numb, too
I'll reserve that table
hidden in the corner -
I know you like that soft leather seat
I'l  share with you my dramas
over tom yum soup
while I nibble on a grilled espetada,
each piece, sliding off, gently,
like our relaxing words ~
sustaining our hungry souls
until we manage a chuckle
when my teaspoon cracks
the picturesque creme brulee
just like we slid out of our shells
and enjoyed meandering moments
in the company
of love

I'd love a red Zinfandel, please. Rosemary chicken with a rice pilaf. I adore the atmosphere without even being there!
