A love-smudged image of you

A love-smudged image of you

A Poem by SleeplessVolcano

I think I colored outside the lines
a little bit too much
I wonder if I smudged the line
of where I ended
and where you began
But is that so bad?
I always knew
that you were much closer
than a mere embrace
I always knew
that your thoughts ricocheted
inside my head too
I thought I painted
a picture of your soul
but instead
I now see
my own reflection -
your warm gaze
piercing through that place
where hearts collide
forever.

Thanks Zahra - glad you liked it.
Very interesting. I like this concept you wrote about, someone becoming someone they aren't so they're no longer certain of who they ever were. I like a lot of the lines you used, especially in the beginning. It could use a little work, but otherwise, phenomenal concept and execution :)
