Beyond the abyss

Beyond the abyss

A Poem by SleeplessVolcano

There I stood

On the edge of the abyss you created

I wondered when exactly it was

When your cataclysmic words

Collided with our tectonic fury

I vaguely can see

That you’ve made a life for you

On the other side

I hope that it is green

And that your seismic suaveness

Will not destroy it

I want to wish you well

I want only for blessings to follow you

but sowing and reaping

applies to love too

if I could, I'd pray

that you do not reap

what you've sown

in the thorn-strewn patch of my life

but somewhere, somehow

you have to stop sowing such darkness

or you'll end up

at the end of your rope

with a thread-bare stare -

I pray you do not end up, there.
