Sand in your soul

Sand in your soul

A Poem by SleeplessVolcano

I want to go on a road trip

And catch the sun before it sets

I’ll chase the waves even when the wind does not blow

And nap under restless stars at midnight.

I want to go on a road trip

And discover what’s at the end of that winding dirt road

And wake up on a deserted beach

While breaking waves tickle my ears.

I want to go on a road trip

And buy an ancient coffee table

From an old man who swears that it’s antique

But for me, I'm just making that place my home.

I want to go on a road trip

And pick-up more seashells than what I can carry

If only I had another pair of hands "

Come with me, and get some sand in your soul.

Thanks Gwen.....a little stroll down "the road less traveled" can be refreshing....:)
Liked it a lot, especially that invitation in the last stanza. Repetitive first lines worked pretty well, too.
