A thousand words

A thousand words

A Poem by SleeplessVolcano

I made you a quick snack

Come still your gnawing hunger

It will energize your soul

and you can start a new chapter

of lovers torn

by polarized continents

asking the gods

to reverse the landmass -

the impossible becomes likely

nibbling on prosciutto.

Honey-drenched pecorino

Flirting with sun-ripened cherries

may just smother your writer’s block

before the sun

sinks below another blank-page mountain.

Your words seem to hold worlds of thought in them, lines between lines of movement and motion. And these words are especially delicious.

A delicious piece, "come still your gnawing hunger, of lovers torn, the impossible becomes likely" - my favorite lines. You've created something so deeply unique here with only a few words. Very lovely 😊 and now I'm hungry.
