A mercy killing

It's all a bit of a haze right now
Memories and dreams, rolled together
Can't sort them anymore
So when I'm fighting with a thought
I'm not sure if it really happened
So it's best to just kill it, first chance
Everyone knows
A thought that really lived
Will come back again

the mind can be your greatest enemy
Less the heart is filled with innocence
no one can kill a thought coming from a strong mind
the heart tames the mind
