Bird's eye love

Bird's eye love

A Poem by SleeplessVolcano

A soothing ointment, curing ancient wounds -
that's what your words are to me.
Come whisper them again, like before,
and I promise - this time I'll listen.
I confess; I'm as stubborn as a dozen mules,
but yet, you love me,
despite my rock-hard foolishness.
Give me another chance
to open my wayward ears
and drink deeply.
Your hand-picked words
will lift my soul once more
and I'll meet you, above all of this,
with a bird's eye view
of morning-dew love.

well done Sleepless ... every word that you chose is savory and carries weight ... i appreciate your attention to punctuation .. to me, though I am not an English Major .. it is spot on .. guides me and allows me to feel the imprint of each phrase and line .. its a very beautiful love poem in my mind ..so well done indeed!

It is the most sublime joy to find someone who speaks healing and life into us, and who knows us in our stubborn ways, our foolishness, and will stay close anyways. How beautiful and lifting this is, showing us all what truly matters in a world of a million, million voices. It is a reason to dance.
