The other side of paradiseA Poem by SleeplessVolcano
The heat is on
Sweltering, suffocating Sucking life out of my bones The sun abducts my common sense And I see grandiose ships Crossing wavy sand dunes And I wish That someone would merely dip A finger in a cool glass of water And let it hover over my rigor mortis tongue But it is not to be The die has been cast And I got the short hot stick And now I'm married To this steaming hell. © 2017 SleeplessVolcanoReviews
