When the lions are silent

When the lions are silent

A Poem by SleeplessVolcano

Scarred and scared

Wounds, bared

It cuts deep

When alone, I weep.

Down, they drop

From ice-cold cheeks

Should close up shop

For no one speaks.

I loved this. It was short and sweet, but the emotion behind it is phenomenal. I wouldn't change anything about it, except the font, or the size of it.

Font can convey emotion too, remember that. If it's too big, or looks too kid-ish, it won't give off the same vibe you want it to. This is completely mature, because it looks like someone wrote it with a pen. But it's a little tip if you like playing around with different fonts and sizes.
