Hold my hand, darlingA Poem by SleeplessVolcanoIf only you can hold my
hands Like you held your hat
that day You'll feel the shelter
I'll provide Against more than mere
sun rays.
If only you can find my
path Your feet will not get
wet But your downcast eyes
seem pensively lost Where the cumulonimbus
clouds your head.
If only you can trust my
words And not the foamy white
spray The tides of life will
come and go But I am here to stay.
If only you can hear my
voice Above the waves' loud
shouts You, my words will
tightly cocoon And turn to faith, your
doubts. © 2017 SleeplessVolcanoAuthor's Note
