Ode to LaoziA Poem by SleeplessVolcanoOh keeper of
the scroll, what could I ask, that you could not answer? even the
gods were in awe at the sight of your wise frame at birth your first
words expressed those mysteries of the Tao - could you
speak to me now, after all these smouldering years? Could you give
me direction, here, where the future, overwhelmingly, Has crept
upon me like a sprawling octopus, and I do not know Which frightfully
exciting way to explore. I want to
fill my quiver, with bows dipped in your timeless wisdom May the way
of the celestial master beckon to my hungry feet And when
darkness and confusion seeks to damn my soul to hell, I beg of
you, let your peace of a thousand grey owls rest on my mind. Come find
me, o great master of humility, right here, on my face Seek out my
heart, o great one, see it now, before the sun departs - a servant
heart, forged in peaceful steel, ready, for your touch. © 2017 SleeplessVolcanoAuthor's Note
