My words are seeking you

My words are seeking you

A Poem by SleeplessVolcano

My words are stalking you today
They're preparing a luscious rope
Waiting for that perfect moment
When your heart could be lassoed
Or maybe that's not even possible
Maybe you want to remain
Like a distant mirage
Or a warm breeze at sunset
But alas, try I will
Even if I can only catch my anxious breath
In the shade of your poetic beauty
While your back remains,
Reluctantly turned away -
Just a side-ways glance
Or hearing your soft-spoken voice
Will still this storm in my heart
Until the next time the gods allow
Your eyes to seek out mine.

Good poem SV. The longing shows but wisdom does too. A heart cannot be lassoed with pretty words.
